The time has finally come. It’s been a few years, but Stacy and I will be flying back to Boston 7 days from today. Taking the red eye in, and arriving on Tuesday to get our marriage license. The rest of the week should be full of hanging out with choice dudes, Death Eater gym sessions, and trying to maintain the stress levels around me at acceptable levels. Maybe even some faux-tourism while I pretend that I don’t know what things in the area look like. Oh and FRIED FUCKING SEAFOOD AND BLACK CHERRY POLAR SELTZER.

Kingdoms Live In-depth look: Armies and Battles
I’ve been playing and researching Kingdoms Live for a while now and wanted to share some learnings that my friend and I have come up with. The main topic today is Armies and Battles, so I will jump right in with Armies. While I mentioned in my primer part 1 and part 2, that early on, you shouldn’t accept the army invitations any sooner than you need to for quests, eventually you will just be able to accept all the invitations, because the maximum effective army size (MEAS) is 5 times your level. So if you are level 12, your army will fight as an army of 60. Even if you have over a thousand members of your army.

P90X Phase 1 completed! Phase 2 begins…
I am officially done with P90X phase 1 as of today. Today is my last day of the recovery week and I am ready to get back into the workouts. I only have 1 week left before I fly home for the wedding. So I will have some sort of intermission in the program, but the good news is I will be able to workout at the world renowned Death Eater gym in Tewksbury, MA. It’s an invitation only gym, and I am honored to have worked out there in the past and it’s a life changing experience. I will be putting up my progress pictures later to show Day 1 compared to Day 30. I have made progress in my size, feel a lot stronger, and have more energy, but I know that I still have a long way to go until I am truly happy with where I am at.

So if you followed along with the first part of the primer, you should know how to get started enough to start questing. The game actually has a tutorial that walks you thru the first few quests, but if you are anything like me, you blew through that and now are out on your own.
Quests are divided into four “zones.” Plains, Highlands, Forest and Tundra. You can unlock more zones as you level up. The first basic quest is called “Fight Soldier” and requires 1 mana. The rewards of both gold and experience are minimal, so you should quickly move on to more rewarding quests. As soon as you can, get a dagger so you can collect lumber for the village. Not only are the rewards better, but you have a chance at looting a flaming arrow. It’s not a great weapon, but if you don’t have money, and your army has grown, its a free one for them to use which is better than nothing. Continue questing and buying the required items to complete the quests as you get them until you reach two key new quests. Complete the quest “Rid Village of Bandits” over and over until you get the loot from the quest, which is a map to the bandit leader, and that lets you complete the quest “Defeat Bandit Leader.”

I won’t go into much of an introduction of the game, since I’m sure you already know what it is, I’ll just get into how I feel the best method to play it is. I will start with my army code is TVU23. Feel free to send me an invite.
Stats:
There are four main stats that allow for actions in the game to be taken(and more that effect the results.) Gold, Health, Mana, and Spirit. Gold is acquired by completing quests and battling other armies. Quests in general are a much better means of earning gold. Gold can also be acquired via your “Land” which I will talk more about soon. Your health is what keeps you alive, and taking damage from battling other armies reduces your health. When it reaches too low of a level, you can not battle armies and have to wait time (Health regenerates over time, more on that later), or Pay the priest to heal you which costs gold. Mana is spent to complete quests. As quests go up in level, and the rewards of gold and experience go up, the cost of mana increases. So the more mana you have, the quicker you can earn gold and experience. Lastly, Spirit is used to battle other players armies. It only costs 1 spirit to attack, and it regenerates quickly, so you can battle other players very often. The downside is that the rewards from battle are usually not as rewarding as quests.
Give blood. Give everything.
I gave blood for the first time this morning. I’ve been meaning to for a long time, but finally did it. I used to have the excuse that I had been tattooed recently, but now that its been years since I got tattooed, there was no excuse. Hopefully this becomes something that me and my tiny veins keep doing regularly.
