Quick SOPA post

via The Oatmeal
Just a quick though, I think Christina Warren put it best:
I remember a point in elementary school when the teacher told us that we needed to use sources other than an encyclopedia for our research reports. It’s sad that college students and adults are relying on an internet encyclopedia for this level of work. This isn’t a slight against Wikipedia, but it is what it is.
Thanks to my hosting company – Blue Host
A friend asked me today who I use for hosting, and I realized that I have never given a shout out to Blue Host. I have been with Blue Host ever since I shut down my own hosting company, and they have been great. Great service, and when I need to get in touch with them, they are very quick to respond. If you need good reliable web hosting, and a very reasonable price, check them out.
Call of Duty Elite app is now out…
and here is the link. The recent matches view is nice. The app runs really fast as well. Now if we can just get clan XP added to the game, we will have almost everything that was promised of an elite membership.
Top programming languages of 2011
Every year I look forward to this update to see what directions things are headed. It’s great to see Objective-C growing for iOS development. Multiple SQL languages shows the continued growth of data, and even R makes an appearance showing the increase of Statistics in the programming world. I wonder how high SAS(#32) would be if there wasn’t such a high cost of entry to using it.

Thunderbolt brings us external graphics cards
I am pretty excited about this. The sky seems to be the limit when it comes to Thunderbolt. Imagine your Macbook Air transforming into a powerful gaming machine just by plugging it into an external graphics card and playing the most graphics demanding games on the market. Count me in.
